Just wondering if there is any update on the Dual Core CPU CTD issue and whether it is being addressed in Tuesday's patch.
I have had to actually create a seperate Boot up rthat loads windows with only 1 core to get a stable EvE client. Not only is this actually rather annoying to do logistically, it also essentially means that I'm running my lovely dual core processor at 50% to play.
If its not going to be addressed in Tuesday's patch then so be it. At least tell us though that the issue is in fact being looked into as a high priority.

Originally by: Allantia .....All you need to do is set the EVE process affinity to a single core. I've yet to have a single CTD.
Actually this did not resolve the issue for me. I had to completely disable the 2nd core as i've mentioned.

This has been noted as known issue that's being worked on in news and forum replies ... and in the "Known Issues" section
We're working with MS to find a solution. Till then, setting Affinity to each of the cores reduces the crashes. If you still have as frequent crashes, I'd look into something else causing it (soundcards have been known to do this).
Best thing to help out with is sending us bug reports with dump logs (it's in your EVE folder).
Oveur just a note, I was getting crashes every 3 to 5 minutes and setting the processor affinity to one of the CPU cores didn't seem to make any difference. I know the issue is Dual Core related though, as i've modified Boot.ini so that actually have an an option to boot into windows using only a single core.
When using the windows boot option with 2 cores I get a CTD every 3 to 5 minutes. WHen using the single core Boot option (So that windows itself only sees 1 core) I get no CTDs at all, even during hours of play and jumping through 100 jumps of travel.
I'd say that's pretty clear cut

Now that I see this thread back on the page i'd better post an update. The CTD issues that I had were fully resolved by the last patch released (the one after Revelations, last tuesday from memory).
I am now running my machine in Dual Core without needing to set affinity or anything of the like, and have had no CTDs since.
